Set against the dramatic backdrop of postwar Japan, the musical centres on John Marshall and his Japanese wife Hideko and the aftermath of the dropping of the atomic bomb on Nagasaki in August 1945. The musical starred an array of the West End's finest leading performers including Meredith Braun, Greg Ellis, James Graeme, Michael McCarthy and Simon Burke.
