Cy Laurie ran a hugely popular band in the mid1950s and the all night raves at his club in London's West End made the national press. Because he disappeared from the scene for a few years at the height of his popularity and just before the Trad Boom happened he acquired cult status. This CD picks up where Volume 1 left off. It features all the tracks recorded for the small independent label, Melodisc which mainly specialised in Calypso music plus thirteen tracks which have never been issued before. Volume One proved a popular album and there's no reason why this one should not do equally as well.
